France's Refashion scheme requires every brand — including international Shopify sellers shipping a single order to France — to register, categorize every product, calculate eco-contributions, and file a declaration by March 1. The Netherlands wants weight in kilograms by April 1. Hungary and Latvia have their own fee models. California's SB 707 is in force. And the EU's Digital Product Passport regulation entered into force in July 2024.
Refashion has 80+ codes. A men's coat is €0.1666/unit. A women's coat is €0.1582/unit. Declare them all as "clothing" at the simplified rate and you pay €0.5799/unit — more than 3x the correct amount. VeloxLink resolves the right code automatically.
Brands with GOTS, OEKO-TEX Made in Green, Bluesign, or GRS certifications qualify for fee reductions of up to €0.70/unit. Most brands don't claim them because they don't know they exist. VeloxLink surfaces every prime you qualify for.
Hundreds of Shopify products. Each needs fiber composition, category, demographic, weight, and certification data. VeloxLink auto-maps products to specs using SKU, barcode, and title matching — plus 6 templates for common product types.
No data migration, no consultant, no six months of setup. Install from the Shopify App Store, select your jurisdictions, and start building specs within minutes.
Install from the Shopify App Store. Select your jurisdictions: France (Refashion), Netherlands (UPV Textiel), Hungary (MOHU), Latvia, California (SB 707). Add your Refashion ID and SYDEREP number. Don't have them yet? VeloxLink tells you what's missing and links to each registration portal.
A textile spec records fiber composition, weight, product category, target demographic, country of manufacture, certifications, and chemical compliance. One spec maps to hundreds of products. 6 one-click templates get you started: Cotton T-Shirt, Poly-Cotton Hoodie, Denim Jeans, Wool Sweater, Nylon Activewear, Recycled Polyester Top.
15 fiber types supported per EU Regulation 1007/2011. Percentages validated in real time. Live eco-contribution preview shows your base fee, primes, malus, and total as you build the spec.
Auto-mapping uses SKU, barcode, and title similarity. Pull orders via Shopify API (one click) or upload CSV. VeloxLink calculates units per Refashion category, total weight for the Netherlands, and fees for each jurisdiction. Click Export — the file is ready to upload. No re-keying.
VeloxLink handles the arithmetic brands get wrong, the category mapping brands skip, the eco-modulations brands don't claim, and the exports brands spend hours building by hand.
Clothing (V codes), household linen (L codes), and footwear (C codes) — all resolved automatically from product category and target demographic.
Baby 0–3, child 4–14, women ≥15, men ≥15, and unisex. Each combination maps to a different fee rate.

Yes. France's obligation applies to any seller placing textiles on the French market — including non-French businesses selling via e-commerce. No de minimis threshold. Even one unit shipped to France triggers it.
Detailed uses per-category rates (as low as €0.0190/unit) and lets you claim eco-modulation primes. Simplified uses a flat rate: €0.5799/unit for clothing — typically 5–10x higher. VeloxLink calculates both side by side. Simplified is only for sellers under 5,000 units/year who aren't claiming eco-modulations.
France adjusts your fee based on sustainability. Primes: certification (€0.03/unit for GOTS, OEKO-TEX MiG, Bluesign, etc.), durability (€0.07/unit on eligible categories), recycled material (€1,000/tonne post-consumer). Malus: metalloplastic fibers and electronic components trigger surcharges. Products with malus can't receive primes. VeloxLink evaluates all criteria automatically.
When you create a textile spec, enter the per-unit weight in grams. VeloxLink multiplies by order quantity for all NL orders. At declaration time: total kg, fee at €0.24/kg, and the export file formatted for Stichting UPV Textiel.
No. A spec describes a product type, not an individual product. Same cotton T-shirt in 10 colors and 4 sizes = 1 spec mapped to 40 variants. Most brands end up with 20–80 specs. The 6 built-in templates cover the most common types.
VeloxLink generates a public consumer-facing page per product — fiber composition, country of manufacture, care instructions, recyclability, chemical compliance, certifications — accessible via QR code. Gives you a head start on DPP readiness and a transparency story for marketing. When the EU finalizes the standard (~2025–26), your data is already structured.
Likely yes under the EU Green Claims Directive. It will prohibit generic claims without scientific substantiation. "Carbon neutral" via offsetting is already banned under UCPD. VeloxLink's Green Claims Scanner checks your catalog and suggests specific compliant replacements.
Connect your Shopify store once — VeloxLink pulls historical data via the Shopify API. New orders sync automatically. You can also upload CSV for legacy data. All imports are batched and tagged for review or deletion.
Both are Tier 2 jurisdictions — visible in Settings with monitoring enabled. When rules are published and fee tables confirmed, full calculation and export activates automatically. Scale plan gets early access.
